Plain text and clipboard storyboard
Synthetic clipboard frame only. It uses fake text and keeps clipboard handling explicit so users do not paste private material into support.
Synthetic frame
Plain text input
Keep the sample small and task-specific.
Redact plain text and clipboard content workflow frame
Instructional frame for this operational guide. Replace with product screenshots only after the current screen state is approved.
Guided steps
Follow the task, then check the result.
Paste only the text you need to redact
Paste the smallest useful note, prompt, email, or snippet into Canvas. Avoid adding unrelated private content just because it is nearby in the source document.
Review detections before copying
Check names, contact details, IDs, account numbers, and secrets. Keep values visible only when the next recipient is meant to see them.
Copy the reviewed redacted text
Copy only after checking the output. Paste into the next tool only when placeholders and remaining visible text match your intent.

Redact plain text and clipboard content
Clean short notes, prompts, emails, and copied snippets before pasting them into another tool.
Use this guide when the Canvas text input surface is available in your workspace. If you cannot see the screen or control described here, use the safe support path instead of guessing.
Outcome
You can paste text, review detected values, and copy a redacted version without carrying raw private content into the next app.
Before You Start
- Use text you are allowed to process.
- Start with a short sample if you are learning the flow.
- Know where you plan to paste the reviewed redacted output.
1. Paste only the text you need to redact
Paste the smallest useful note, prompt, email, or snippet into Canvas. Avoid adding unrelated private content just because it is nearby in the source document.
Check before you continue: Canvas shows the text you intended to review.
2. Review detections before copying
Check names, contact details, IDs, account numbers, and secrets. Keep values visible only when the next recipient is meant to see them.
Check before you continue: Each sensitive value is redacted, kept, or intentionally routed for more review.
3. Copy the reviewed redacted text
Copy only after checking the output. Paste into the next tool only when placeholders and remaining visible text match your intent.
Check before you continue: The clipboard output no longer contains raw values you intended to remove.
Completion Check
- The copied output was inspected after redaction.
- No raw private value remains unless you intentionally kept it.
- The next destination receives reviewed redacted text, not the original.
Safe Examples
- A fake customer email using example.test.
- A synthetic support note with placeholder account numbers.
If You Need Support
Contact support when:
- Copy output does not match the reviewed state.
- A pasted text snippet does not appear in Canvas.
Include only support-safe context:
- Article slug and selected workflow step.
- Screen or action name.
- Browser, viewport, workspace type, and file type category when relevant.
- Synthetic sample shape or already-redacted sample only after review.
Still stuck?
Copy a safe article handoff.
Start support with the article, the issue, and safe context. Raw document text, files, restoration material, and unredacted screenshots stay out unless you explicitly choose otherwise.
- Article slug
- Selected issue
- Screen name
- Action name
